The origins of this park date back to 1974, when the first steps were taken to make good use of the area near the Panama Canal.

Day 1
Walk in the Metropolitan Park
Tour start time: Daily departures 7:00 a.m.
  • The Metropolitan Park of Panama City represents one of the few natural areas of protected fauna and flora, located on the perimeter of the city. It forms an important biological corridor next to the Soberanía National Park.
  • An excellent place for bird watching, cuaties, monkeys, frogs, turtles, among other species.
  • To maximize the chances of seeing the largest number of animals, it is recommended to leave early, although the time can be coordinated as appropriate.
  • The moderate level hike takes approximately 2 to 3 hours.
  • The perfect walk for nature enthusiasts who don't want to get away from the city. Ideal for families, alone, as a couple or groups.
