Description
- From La Paz we will cross by motor boat the Strait of Tiquina (20 minutes), which is the narrowest part of Lake Titicaca. We will arrive at Copacabana and head towards the Isla del Sol where we will visit the Inca Palace "Pilcokaina" and have lunch a typical dish called Apthapi. Among much more experience with communities and visits to wonderful places ... We don't want to describe it to you, we want you to live it!

Itinerary
Day 1
Island of the Sun + Copacabana
Start time: 7:00 am
- Pick up from the hotel in La Paz and transfer to Copacabana (3810 masl), duration approximately 3½ hours. En route we will cross the Strait of Tiquina by motorboat (20 minutes), which is the narrowest part of Lake Tititcaca, dividing Lake Menor (Wiñaymarka) from Lake Mayor (Chucuito).
- Arrival in Copacabana and we will go to the port to leave by speedboat (50 minutes) to Isla del Sol where we will visit the Inca Palace "Pilcokaina" and have lunch a typical dish called Apthapi (among the main products are potatoes, chuño, beans, mote, cold cheese, banana, boiled or fried egg), and then continue with a panoramic walk to the Community of Yumani, where you will visit the Inca Garden, the Sacred Fountain of the Incas and the Yumani Stairs.
- Return by speedboat to Copacabana (50 minutes) with a short stop at the artificial floating islands of Chañi (where we will learn about working in totora).
- Arrival in Copacabana to visit the Church, the Local Market, and then go to the city of Puno (3½ hours) passing through Kasani (Bolivia-Peru border) and transfer to the hotel.
