Day 1
Traditional City Tour

  • I lived Asunción from my heart, and the Tour begins in its very center, visiting the most emblematic sites of the historic center
  • We begin with a visit to the National Pantheon of Heroes, the House of Independence, its museum; We head towards the Central Post Office, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the old Parliament and the Government Palace, where you cannot miss a photograph with the background of one of the facades of the beautiful López Palace, from there to the new Congress building and then to the old train station, where we can see one of the first steam trains in South America.
  • We cannot forget artisan purchases, so we move to the Port area, there we can visit La Recova, a typical handicraft market.
  • Leaving the center of Asunción for a bit, we will visit the main residential neighborhoods of the city and “Mburuvicha Roga” (Lacasa del Jefe), official residence of the President of the Nation.
  • After the tour we return to the hotel.
