Full Day Modern City and Panama Canal

Day 1

Start of the tour

• Get to know some important sites of the city of Panama, such as the Ruins of Panama la Vieja, Castilla de Oro and the center of operations for the conquest of South America, the first city founded on the entire Pacific coast after the discovery of the South Sea then destroyed by the pirate Morgan and later moved to what is now known as the Old Town to observe its colonial architecture
• We will also visit the Cathedral, the Golden Altar, the Plaza Bolívar where they will move to the past
• We will make a stop to enjoy a typical lunch and then later visit the Miraflores locks, where you can observe the crossing of the ships as they rise in those large elevators to be able to cross the Isthmus of Panama
• Once the crossing is finished, we will complement the tour of the 4 exhibition rooms in tribute to the eighth wonder of the modern world
• Later, we will visit the Amador Causeway, the breakwater that the Americans built to protect the navigable course of the Panama Canal.
• Here making a short stopover at the Duty Free premises
• And for those who wish to take a souvenir, the obligatory stop is the handicraft market.
