Day 1
Excursion to La Plata City

Tour start time: 8:00 am

  • The city of La Plata awaits you with its imposing architecture on this fantastic tour!
  • La Plata is the perfect model for good design, modern 19th century city planning. Enjoy exploring the city's architecture, culture, religion and natural science.
  • Speaking of architecture, you will be amazed by the imposing neo-Gothic cathedral of La Plata, the largest church in Argentina.
  • Continuing the tour through a diagonal arrangement of city streets, we will visit the Argentine Theater followed by the National University of La Plata. Our first stop at the University is the Astronomical Observatory, located in the perfect location and regions of the world to Observe the transit of the planet Venus through the sun.
  • Next, we will visit the Museum of Natural Sciences of the University of La Plata, the most important museum of its kind in South America. Opened in 1888, this scientific wonder houses a collection of over 2 million objects and species from a number of diverse disciplines, including: Paleontology, Anthropology, Geology, Botany, and Zoology. We will discover Argentina from the inside out through the wealth of objects collected from all over the country and we will leave with a deeper understanding.
