Of the most important cities in Latin America, Montevideo awaits you. An unimaginable place where the Modern City and the Old City converge, which also enriches us with its history, culture and shows. Through this City Tour you can visit all the renowned sites that this wonderful city has.

The Architecture of Montevideo makes us fall in love with its most outstanding buildings such as the Solís Theater, the Legislative Palace, the Salvo Palace, the Puerta de la Ciudadela or the Historic Monument to the Carreta.

We will not let you miss its Rambla that enchants its inhabitants and visitors, for its beautiful panoramic view with sunsets of the coast and outdoor sports.

Itinerary


Day 1
Montevideo City Tour
Start time: 8:00 a.m.
  • We will pick you up at downtown Montevideo hotels in an air-conditioned minibus and you will also have stops at the most representative tourist spots in the city to take photos and enjoy the scenery.
  • We will go to the Plaza Independencia from where we can see the Puerta de la Ciudadela, a very old monument that has been maintained despite time.
  • We will continue our tour to observe the imposing Solís Theater and the Executive Tower that occupies an entire block.
  • Then, we can see the Palacio Estévez or also called José Artigas Building, which is part of the buildings of the Executive Power with 140 years old. We will also see the impressive Salvo Palace and the monument to the Uruguayan hero José Gervasio Artigas.
  • We will pass through the main avenue July 18, and we will go to the Legislative Palace. There our professional guide will comment in more detail on aspects of the history and culture that surrounds us. Afterwards, we can visit the Montevideo Agricultural Market and here we will find a diverse range of local products that we can buy (not included) and take free time for lunch (optional).
  • We will continue to the José Batlle y Ordoñez Park, from there we can admire the Uruguayan Football Monument, the Centennial Stadium and the Carreta Monument, a sculpture that stands out for its beauty and its good state of preservation.
  • During the tour we can enjoy going to the Rambla that will allow us to appreciate a beautiful panoramic view that forms with its coast over the Rio de la Plata.
  • To finish, we will go back to the central hotels of Montevideo.
