Arenal Volcano with Baldí hot springs

• This is one of the most popular walks among our tourists. This tour takes you to the propitious site of the majestic Arenal Volcano where you will enjoy the relaxing Baldi hot springs , in addition to appreciating the lush vegetation and landscapes that make this place an unforgettable site.
• The impressive Arenal Volcano is a natural wonder found in La Fortuna de San Carlos, Alajuela, offering thousands of tourists the opportunity to appreciate the conical columns of white smoke, ash, and fumarole activity.
• It is important to keep in mind that the volcano had been asleep for at least 450 years, until on July 29, 1968 it again experienced a great eruption, beginning a new period of pyroclastic activity which has been decreasing in the last years.
• En route to the Arenal Volcano, we will make a stop in the famous town of Sarchí, known as the cradle of artisans in Costa Rica, where they will have the best opportunity to acquire souvenirs such as woods, clothes and souvenirs in general.
• In Sarchì , you may well see a bullock cart that holds the title of being the largest in the world, which is constructed of wood (cedar) and decorated in striking colors, such as a bright orange color. The design is typical and complex, it has two levels of height and took 70 days to complete, it also has an honorable mention in the world record guinness book.
• The trip continues, crossing forest areas, as well as plantations of various agricultural products , including coffee plantations, pineapple, ornamental plants, cattle farms, until we reach the beautiful town of La Fortuna , to stop and enjoy lunch in a cozy restaurant with a spectacular view of the Arenal Volcano.
• After lunch, you will visit a viewpoint that is closer to the base of the volcano, where you can also see the view of Lake Arenal. Eventually, the tourist will enjoy and relax in one of the best hot springs in the area, where they can enjoy the rejuvenating effects of the same, as well as a massage (optional activity) or other special treatments that must be reserved in advance.
• Baldi's facilities offer tourists 25 pools of thermal water, which flow naturally from the volcano. Medicinal waters are certified by the LNA (National Water Laboratory), and the temperature ranges from 33 to 66 degrees Celsius (93-152 Fahrenheit), providing customers with a wide range of options that are tailored to the person's taste.
• And for a perfect ending, before heading back to San José, a delicious dinner is served with a great view of the volcano so you don't miss any opportunity to appreciate it once again.
• We will pass through the picturesque town of La Fortuna, that on a clear day, you will have the opportunity to admire the majestic colossus.
