Day 2
Fun Fun Caves
Today's departure will be early. Your guide will be at the reception of your hotel at 7.30 am. The route will take you through small Dominican towns towards Hato Mayor. Once there, the road will go from a paved state to a state of adventure. The next destination is Cuevas Fun Fun. Dare to explore the largest cave in the Caribbean. This exciting adventure begins with a 30-minute horseback ride followed by a hike through the rainforest. In the middle of the mountain, you will descend 18 meters and reach the heart of the cave, where you will dive into another dimension. The cool temperature of the interior of the earth, its huge natural galleries and the magical whisper of the underground river will make you live an adventure like no other. Back at the ranch, we will ride back through the farm where you will enjoy the beautiful scenery. To end this adventure we will offer you a picnic before continuing north. The goal is a hotel located in the middle of nature.

Day 4
Round mountain
Now that you have been able to rest and enjoy nature, we will continue with our circuit. After breakfast, the tour will take you along the northeast coast. An area almost unexplored by tourism. Arriving at "El Cedro"; the road continues towards the "Round Mountain"; with an all-terrain vehicle. The hill offers an unforgettable view of the fantastic panorama. Enjoy this moment with all your senses before continuing south. Leaving the mountain behind, we will visit the town of Bayahibe with its local beach before arriving at the hotel. During this visit you will have the opportunity to see the difference in how the Dominican spends his free time compared to the tourist.

Day 5
Saona Island
Today you will sail by boat or catamaran to an impressive beach. On the way you will visit a famous natural pool and the fishing village of Mano Juan, where with a bit of luck and depending on the season you will see some sea turtles in the sanctuary of said town which is managed by locals to protect this species. We will have lunch under the palm trees. An excursion for those who like the sea, the sun and the beach.

Day 6
Higüey - Tobacco - Altos de Chavón
After breakfast the next stop will be Higüey. Until today it is not known if this city was founded in the 15th century or at the beginning of the 16th since there are two theories about its foundation. The landmark of this city is the Basilica of the Virgen de la Altagracia. An original design based on a series of arches supporting a cupola and a bell tower of forty-five bronze bells. The church, today dedicated to the Virgin of Altagracia, was built in the same place as the first sanctuary in America dedicated to the Virgin Mary, which was made of wood. From Higüey the road will take you to La Romana where you will visit the García Tobacco Factory. You will learn about the processing of one of the most important products in the Dominican Republic. See the perfected methods of hand-rolling and tobacco leaf processing. After this experience, we will visit Altos de Chavón. A town built in Mediterranean style on the river of the same name. The 16th century town has been rebuilt in detail according to the original plans of an Andalusian settlement with elements of Roman-style coral limestone. Altos de Chavón offers a church, an amphitheater and an archaeological museum of the Taino culture with various exhibits.

Day 7
History of Rum
Our first stop today is the Barceló Historical Museum in San Pedro de Macorís. You will participate in a tour of the different rum production processes: distillery, refining, rum cellar and packaging. There is also an exhibition that tells the story of rum and the Barceló family. It is located in a museum shaped like a barrel of rum. At the end, there will be a small tasting. After this visit, we will continue to Santo Domingo and once there you will get to know the Colonial Zone of Santo Domingo. During a walk you will discover the first European city in America where the first cathedral was built, the first bishop lived and the first hospital was opened. After this tour, we will take you to your hotel where you can rest and refresh. In the evening, we will invite you to a special farewell dinner. Let yourself be surprised by the delicacies that this historic center offers.
